Whether you need to have your equipment inspected, tuned and cleaned or an emergency repair I can take care of it for you quickly and for a fair price.
NATE certified technician. This link will take you to the NATE contractor locator page.
Make sure to come back to this page to take a further look at the service that pertains to your service needs below.
I can usually help you the same day if not with-in the hour. You will find that my service rates are lower than the other guys while providing you with the level of service which you require. If you just need someone to get it working again or if you have a problem others just can't seem to correct, I can find the problem and present a solution.
You may think that any company can do that. What makes this guy so different. That's just it, when you call company "X" you get technician "X". When you call me you get me. I know from experience that the average technican is typically hired with out much, if any testing or in house training. On top of that they are overworked and underpaid. The larger the company the worse this problem seems to be. The reasons for this are numerous. If you doubt me just follow the NATE link above and check to see how many companies have nate certified technicians within 20 miles of your home or business. Then think about how many heating and cooling companies are within your area. Why do they not have certified technicians? Lower payroll = greater profit. More repairs = more profit. Their are other parctices that you may not be aware of.
FLAT RATE BILLING is a billing method that is taking off with the larger companies. It has the benefit of quoting a flat price to the customer for a given repair rather than billing by the time involved to complete that specific repair. The company will determine the longest amount of time that the repair should take as a worst case scenario and this is this price you will pay. Every time the job doesn't take as long as the worst case they increase their profit. I like to get what I pay for. Don't you? That is why I stilll use the time and material method of billing.
Other companies that also use the time/material method find other ways to maximize profit. There is nothing wrong with making a profit as long as you come by it honestly.
If the technician that shows up for your repair is under skilled and underpaid the companie's profit can be multiplied. It takes that technician longer to diagnose the problem or he may make a misdiagnosis which you pay for. Worse, he may change parts out until it works again. Even worse yet he may attempt to sell you new equipment when he can't figure out what is wrong while the problem may still exist even with new equipment. Most techs will never look past the equipment itself. Often the problem is being caused by the duct work, piping, wiring or controls. You may buy new equipment that is destined to fail.
A lot of companies make a lot of money from service contracts. Service agreements or preventive maintenance agreements have their place however they often over promise and under deliver. The tech is pushed by the company to sell as many as they can while spending as little time as possible on each job. As a consequence you are not getting what you pay for. An easy way to see if that service agreement you just paid for is worth the paper it is printed on is to look at your blower motor and blower wheel after your furnace or air handler has supposedly been serviced and cleaned. If it is dirty, you havn't got what you paid for. This happens because it is time consuming and difficult to clean. This step is even more important if you have a high efficiency furnace as the secondary heat exchanger can only be accessed with the blower removed for inspection and cleaning. If any of these components are dirty your efficiency and equipment life will be compromised.
Most service companies start charging you when they get in the truck. I do not believe that this is a fair practice, as they do not inform you of this unless you ask. I start the clock when I arrive and stop the clock when I leave. This also applies to running to the supply house in the event that I don't have a part for your particular piece of equipment. *I do keep a full stock of universal replacement parts on board my service van however there is no way to stock every specilized part for all types, brands and vintages of existing equipment that one might encounter.
Most of the time in my 19 year career in the heating and cooling trade has been spent in the service field. Check out the about us page to find out more about me and my credentials. Because of my extensive experience I am able to quickly diagnose problems that others may miss and implement solutions others may not even imagine.
I will not attempt to sell you equipment you don't need or want.
The most important thing you can do as an equipment owner is to keep your air filter changed.
